Something's fishy (in a good way)!

Writer's picture: Rebekah KadingRebekah Kading

The Lwanjaba community is making great progress with their fish farming project! Currently there are 2 cages out on Lake Victoria, each with about 8,000 tilapia. In this video, some men have taken a boat out to the cages to feed the fish and weigh them. We expect the first harvest to be in November. A commercial buyer has been identified. Profits from the sale will be divided to be put back into the business, saved, and pay for medical, living, and educational expenses that the community has decided upon. Congratulations Lwanjaba on a job well done!
